DOGAMÍ Community Update #2

With the previous community update dating from a little over 3 months ago, it was about time we provided a recap of the major milestones and events of the month. This second community update offers an overview of a busy month of October for DOGAMÍ. Future updates will now occur on a monthly basis to help all busy dogamers get up to speed (you mean you’re not reading all of our content on social media?).

Tech launch 2 is in full flow, we announced some utility regarding our first NFTs and onboarded a French YouTuber and influencer. Our game environment also got a surprise and spooky makeover to celebrate “Dogaween” 🎃.

Inoxtag Joins the Ranks 🤝

Inès Benazzouz AKA Inoxtag, French YouTuber and streamer boasting 5.7M subscribers on YouTube and 4M on Instagram has entered the Petaverse accompanied by his Dogamí ACE!

ACE is his IRL puppy that has been transported into the Petaverse as part of the DOGAMÍ star companions — a collection of unique limited edition Dogamí avatars based on real-life celebrity dogs.

ACE is the very first DOGAMÍ Star companion ⭐️

Tech Launch 2 in Full Swing 🕹

As the majority of testers are aware, the soft launch was delayed by a month and we extended the Tech launch to 200 extra testers to play, provide feedback and suggestions and report technical issues to the team!

Turns out everyone was a lot busier than expected — at time of writing, we received 1190 tickets 🎯 via Zendesk! Thank you so much to everyone who made suggestions, gave honest feedback, and reported bugs. Everything you’ve sent to us will help us build a better game for you.💜

Wen Bone Utility? 🦴

What’s the bone for? How many bones should we get? What can we do with the bone in the game? These questions were often asked in the DOGAMÍ discord channel and we finally revealed their true use case this month.

In case you didn’t know, the DOGA bone was DOGAMÍ’s first NFT, dropped in February 2022 before any Dogamí existed. Future players will be able to use the bone in the game in order to double the free playing action (currently the free playing action completes 1 of your Dogamí’s needs, using the bone completes 2).

ℹ️ Bone Facts

1 Single DOGA bone can be used for all your Dogamí (providing they all live on the same wallet)
It is always available and does not get used up
Adds extra in-game comfort
Will most certainly be subject to some cool-down rules preventing transfer between multiple players to cheat the system (it’s a scarce resource)

Staking Raffle 💰

The 22nd of each month is DOGA DAY. To celebrate, we launched a staking competition with some awesome prizes: 3,333 XTZ, 10 boxes and 100 soft launch spots for the next stage of the game. Winners will be announced soon! 👀

A brand new fixed staking program was launched just last month offering stakers 33% APR on any amount staked. A minimum lock up period of three months must however be respected. The previous 22% flexible rate has now been reduced to 8%. 👉 Read more about the new staking terms here.

Achieved Unlocked! 🔓

Testers have finally reached level 10! Congratulations to all those players who made it. Level 10 is the game’s highest level for the time being. It’s been tremendous to see the amount of commitment players have had towards their Dogamí over the last couple of months. For those who’ve reached level 10, you can continue playing in order to earn your daily rewards.

Halloween Makeover 🎃

Things got a little spooky in the Petaverse this month as we rolled out a surprise Halloween theme in-game. Players discovered an eerie environment adorned with jack-o-lanterns, tombstones and tentacular roots in which they could tend to their Dogamí’s needs. We hope you didn’t get too scared!

Coming soon Dogareveal 2.0 🔥

We’ve recently acquired the DogaReveal domain. This tool was built by one of our community members and helpfully categorizes Dogamí by Series and reveal time for users. Watch this space to see what we’ll do with it!
