Gm! 💜 The wait is over — the highly anticipated DOGAMÍ Academy Summer Update has finally arrived, bringing a wave of exciting new features to keep you and your Dogamí on your toes (paws)!

The DOGAMÍ Academy Summer Update is Now Live! 🎉

DOGAMÍ Academy’s Summer Update went live on September 16th, introducing new features, deeper gameplay mechanics, a brand new UI, and much more to get your tails wagging! If you haven’t downloaded the latest version yet, what are you waiting for?

Compete against others for Mega Rewards in PvP Events 💸

The updated PvP system now lets Dogamí holders race in daily events to win COSMO (the new in-game reward token), while Iron Dogamí can battle it out for NUBIX (the new in-game hard currency).

With 10 different leagues based on Dogamí level and special races tailored to specific breeds, rarities and collections, competition is more thrilling than ever.

Plus, with 360 racetracks, you’ll face a fresh challenge every time!

Train Your Dogamí & Level Up in AFK Training 🏋

Training got a massive overhaul, and we’ve introduced our new AFK (Away From Keyboard) training feature, allowing you to train your Dogamí while you’re not using the app!

Now, you can choose the skill you want to train, set a time (2h, 6h, or 12h), and let your Dogamí level up its skill points in the background (while you race).

Also, we’ve now integrated your Dogamí’s Personality to give a boost to training results for certain skills!

Time to Play Fetch with “Spheres” ✨

“Spheres” are DOGAMÍ’s version of new loot boxes that contain valuable items.

They are available in four exciting rarities from the shop:

Meteor Sphere: Get this one for free each day when you log in.
Vega Sphere: Contains common and uncommon materials.
Antares Sphere: Contains common, uncommon and rare materials.
Capella Sphere: Contains uncommon and rare materials.

Crack open these Spheres to discover valuable resources like soft and hard currencies, consumables, and, most importantly, materials to upgrade your Powers:

By collecting enough materials, players can increase their Dogamí’s Power effectiveness!

Upgrade and Unleash New Powers 💪

Speaking of Powers, we’ve added a whole host of them in-game! Discover 8 Active Powers and 8 Passive Powers, each offering unique boosts during races.

The Active Powers are time-based and activated by players manually. There are 4 types:

Single: Boosts 1 skill
Risky Single: Boosts 1 skill but lowers all others
Double: Boosts 2 skills
Special: Boosts 3+ skills

There are new Passive Powers: 8 distance-based powers that are triggered automatically in-game. There are 5 different types:

Full Race: Boosts a skill for the entire race
Start-up/After-burn: Boosts a skill at the start or after a set distance
Swap/Combo: Boosts 1–2 skills but reduces others

In addition, we’ve added “Relics”. These gems give you shorter boosts during races and make up for your Dogamí’s weaknesses.

If that all looks intimidating, our new Autofill feature, available from the race screen preview, will help you get to grips with everything by automatically choosing Powers and Relics for you.

New Currencies for an Enhanced Experience 💱

We’ve also added 2 new currencies to fuel the economy in DOGAMÍ Academy and to create a richer gaming experience for everyone!

Here’s a brief run-down of each one:

$DOGA — We’re all familiar with this token! It is the exclusive hybrid utility/governance token of the DOGAMÍ ecosystem and is no longer used as a reward in DOGAMÍ Academy.

COSMO — This is the new reward currency for PvP games and an off-chain representation of $DOGA. It can be redeemed 1:1 for $DOGA and used to buy NUBIX packs.

NUBIX — The hard currency that keeps things moving fast! It’s used as a reward for non-Dogamí holders in PvP Iron events, and you can get it in Loot boxes. Use it to buy STARS, Loot boxes, consumables & speed up training.

STARS — The soft currency you’re already familiar with! You can get it from PvE events and find it in Loot boxes! Used for Training, to pay for PvP races, power upgrades and consumables.

The current update does not end here. DOGAMÍ Academy was released as a GaaS (Game as a Service) meaning it will be continually updated!

Cosmetics and Customization 🎨

Are you ready to showcase your style in-game? Customization is coming, set to drop in Q4, with even more planned for 2025.

Soon you’ll be able to equip your Dogamí with skins, collars, and auras.

Take on Missions and Get Your Battle Pass ⚔️

The Missions tab will soon be alive with daily and weekly challenges, offering rewards to boost your progress.

Look out for a Premium Battle Pass enabling Battle Pass holders to access exclusive NFTs and rare items! 👀

Race in Beautifully Crafted New Environments ✨

Start preparing for epic races on brand-new tracks launching in 2025!

You’ll soon be able to race through stunning locations like Egyptian pyramids or the streets of Seoul!

New Breeds and Breeding? 🐶

The Gamma family will expand with new breeds!

Not only will they bring different skill profiles and attributes, but breeding (Spirit Fusion) is on the horizon. Pair your best Dogamí to create powerful new racers!

Lots of big updates are on the horizon and we can’t wait to share them with you!

Community-Voted DOGAMÍ Academy App Icon! 🖼

In September, we invited the community to submit photos of their Dogamí for a chance to be the new DOGAMÍ Academy app icon!

After fierce competition, five fan-favorites emerged, and the community voted for the winner! Here’s the crowned Dogamí Jack Russell who will represent the app in the next DOGAMÍ Academy update!

We’ve Reopened the “Show Your Dog” Channel 🐕

Good news for our real-life dog owners! We’ve brought back the Show Your Dog channel on Discord!

This channel gives you a chance to show off your furry friends and win amazing prizes! By sharing your best dog photos and stories, you can win Dogamí NFTs, exclusive coupons, and other special treats (coming soon)!

And that’s not all — we’ve introduced the Dog of the Month contest!
