A guide to opening & setting up your wallet on Tezos to prepare for Dogamí’s first NFT Drop.
Are you ready to become a Dogamer? Here is a complete walkthrough on how to start your adventure in the most thrilling play-to-earn game on Tezos.
In order to safely access, send and receive crypto funds (XTZ) & assets (Dogamí NFTs etc.), you will need to open a Tezos cryptocurrency wallet.
There are many options to do this but one of the most popular wallets on the Tezos Blockchain is Temple for desktop and Kukai for web mobile. Please note that Metamask is not compatible with Tezos at the moment and only Tezos wallet are accepted.
DO NOT REGISTER CEX TEZOS ADDRESSES (eg. Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, Trust Wallet…) !!!
Follow these steps to get started!
1- Create a Tezos Wallet on Desktop or Web Mobile:
(e.g Temple, Kukai, AirGap, Umami, Spire, Galleon etc…)
To create your wallet on Desktop use Temple
For the sake of simplicity and safety, we recommend creating a wallet on desktop. The best choice is Temple Wallet. Here is a step by step video guide on how to get started with Temple.

To create your wallet on Web Mobile use Kukai
If you want to create your wallet on mobile, we recommend using Kukai. Please watch the video below for a step by step guide.
Important: Trust Wallet is compatible with XTZ, but not with FA tokens (the standard for creating NFTs on Tezos). Trust can therefore not be used for Dogamí. Please check this guide on how to import your Trust Wallet to Kukai.

2 — Buy XTZ (Tezos Tokens)
If you don’t already have XTZ at your disposal, you will have to purchase XTZ on an exchange (we have listed the major exchanges for you below). Make sure you buy enough XTZ to cover the mint fees as well (approx. 0,01$). You will then need to send your XTZ to your wallet (see step 3).
You can purchase your desired amount of XTZ on one of these exchanges:
Central Exchanges: Binance, Coinbase, Huobi, Gate.io, Kucoin
Decentralized Exchanges: Vortex (Smartlink), Quipuswap
Mobile wallet with purchasing function: Trust Wallet
Register on your preferred exchange, buy the amount of Tezos tokens (XTZ) you need at your disposal and send them to your wallet. You will need to withdraw the amount of XTZ required to purchase the Dogamí NFTs (incl. gas fees) from the exchange by entering your wallet address as your withdrawal destination.

3 — How to find your wallet address and receive XTZ
To receive Tezos tokens (XTZ) on your Temple or AirGap Wallet, click on the “Receive” button in your wallet, copy the address, and use it as the delivery address in the withdrawal process on one of the exchanges. Make sure you select the Tezos network. You can now paste the address and send the XTZ to your wallet.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you are sending the XTZ to the correct wallet address.
